We only had a week in New York so I was concerned with losing 2 days on this trip spending most of the time on the bus, but the bus trip was great, they way they planned the breaks it didn't feel like we spent all day on a bus and the drive is very picturesque, on the way there we stopped at Watkins Glen and did a beautiful walk to see waterfalls etc (wear shoes!! I wasn't aware we were doing this so I had thongs on so it was a bit of a rough walk), really enjoyed this and it was a great break and stretch of the legs
both days we stopped for lunch at these amazing supermarkets which had a fantastic fresh food buffet type meal area, the food was great and had absolutely everything to cater for anybody
once we got to Niagara it was a bit of a muck around and a long process, we had to drop people off on the American side and then had a long delay getting over the boarder and then a bit of a muck around allocating room keys at the hotel, so from the time we saw our first look at the falls to the time we got into our room it was a 3 hour process and it was late, so that was the only negative experience
we got to get some dinner around 8pm and then have a look around Niagara which is a very unique place and fantastic to get a good look around
up at 5am for an early breaky and then back over the boarder to do the Maid of the Mist boat tour which was absolutely amazing - loved every minute and that half hour made the whole 2 day trip worth while
the drive back was once again picturesque and pleasant, the afternoon break was at a factory outlet shopping centre where we got 1.5 hours free time to shop and we did that, could of spent a lot more time there but would of just done more damage to the credit card so was probably a good thing :)
got back to NYC around 8pm
Im glad we did it and in hindsight it was a lovely break from the hussle and bussle of NYC
our guide Jonathan was very attentive to everyone's needs
