We loved our sunset cruise on the Windjammer. It was the last thing we did on our 10 year wedding anniversary trip to Maine. It was a beautiful evening and lots of fun! The ship was full on the evening of our cruise, and they really pack the people onto the ship. That was the only downside. Otherwise, the crew was fantastic, and it was such a nice experience. I highly recommend.

Happy anniversary! We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves on your cruise. The ship can get on the cozy side when our manifest is full, but it's a great opportunity to get to know your fellow passengers! I Sailed on the Margret Todd a 150-foot four Mast Schoner. I did the afternoon cruise. it was very interesting and a great experience. The Crew was great, very friendly and accommodating. I even helped raise the Sails, that's a tough job. Expect it to be cooler out on the water. I wish I brought gloves; it was too cool to have a beer. Highly recommend, good value. I watched the Evening cruise leave, it was much more crowded.

So glad you had such a wonderful time! We do advise to bring a jacket when passengers call the office to book, although those who book online miss that advice. And since our evening cruise is our most popular, it tends to be a bit cozy. Thanks for taking the time to submit your review, and please join us again!

Expensive for what you get. Very crowded. You have to sit quite awhile for everyone to board, then go over instructions & safety and to raise the sails. Then they begin selling drinks. My husband waited in line for a drink for a good 25 min! All they do is sail right in the bay and you Head back as the sun is setting. Very boring and crew not up beat & fun. We thought this would be the highlight of our trip and it Was not. For what they charge they could Atleast give you a drink. Also my 14 yr son was not feeling well and he Went to ask for a water before we left port and they Said no not until the sails are up. He ended up getting off the ship before we left to avoid throwing up and the Person sitting very close to him. They didn’t offer a refund or even a partial refund. We did not ask for one since we acknowledge it was not their fault he didn’t feel well. However I do feel they could have given him a water to help make him feel better. It was very hot & sunny that day and wasn't Sure if he was getting overheated or seasick. In my opinion save your money and walk Across the sandbar and watch The sunset for free from there or from any other place.

We are sorry that you encountered unpleasantries on your trip. The drink line is very popular and can tend to be long. Our trips are advertised as remaining in Frenchman Bay and we return before dark as a safety measure. We especially apologize for your sick son not getting access to water right when he needed it but again, it's a safety issue. We appreciate you taking the time to submit a review and will strive for improvement.
