Brooke, Franny, and Abbi were my three dive guides while I was diving with Dive Maui. Brooke and Franny took us to Wash Rock and the First Cathedral, both of which were absolutely amazing!! We saw an octopus, Spanish Dancer, damsel fish, a massive Viper Eel, a surprisingly large pillow crab inside the cathedral, and some smaller white mouth eels swimming around. The whole crew was super friendly and knowledgeable, and made everyone feel safe and excited the whole time. These were my first boat dives and it was a BLAST. I was even convinced to book a spontaneous shore dive for the following morning that wasn’t on my original itinerary, and let me tell you, I am SO GLAD I went back for one more dive. Abbi took us to Mala Wharf, an old pier taken out guac hurricane 30 years ago. Since then it’s grown coral and gained popularity from the island’s turtles and sharks. We swam with at least 30 turtles!! And saw some white top reef sharks sleeping in the crevices, but also zooming around under the structures. It was amazing. We had excellent bottom time for that dive, and I got some excellent footage on my GoPro. All of my guides were great at pointing out interesting creatures and other finds, which really made the experience. If I’m ever back on the island, I’ll be diving with them again. I can’t recommend Dive Maui enough.
