Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. This adventure was absolutely amazing! We were surprised with and open air off road vehicle so the visual was outstanding!! Uncle Ben is native to the area and we felt blessed to have him as our guide. The whole company is family run which is very true to our hearts! Truly a magical experience and we will be back!! ❤️

We booked with a local company, Beauty Way, a fifth generation family owned provider with deep roots in the canyon. Said all of that because some large operators hire Navajo drivers/guides but the majority of your fees go outside Chinle. No words can describe the experience of being on the canyon floor, motoring around in a Jeep with a local guide from the family providing history, insight and interesting tidbits. We were so fortunate to have Emily as our driver/guide for her final appointment of the season (busy young woman!). So delightful and someone who will go far in life. We did the rim drives later in the day but spending the time and money for a private tour made this an extra special experience that rates in our top three of all time. Highly recommend the canyon floor tour and especially Beauty Way tours.

James, our guide, was amazing. The incredible beauty of Canyon de Chelly cannot be put into words. And pictures don’t do it justice either. You have to visit. See the canyon walls, the Pueblo residences, and the pictographs and petroglyphs. And there’s more which is James’ first hand knowledge of the canyon and Navajo history. We learned so much which I feel was a value added extra. We most definitely recommend that any and all take this tour.
