Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. Everything I hoped it would be. Wonderful sights and stories. I was very fortunate to have an outstanding guide named Emily who responded with enthusiasm as I pelted her with questions about Navajo culture along with history of the Canyon. I recommend taking a jeep trip with one to three passengers (I was very lucky to be only passenger). The jeep tours provide an opportunity to make extra stops for photos and spend more time at spots of interest.

Our experience with Beauty Way Tours was truly memorable. Our guide, Em, is a 5th generation professional tour guide with her family company. Em grew up negotiating the twists and turns of the trails through Canyon de Chelly. Our tour was top notch. We had James as our guide and he told us so much about the land, his family land, that we were so privileged to see. A great adventure through the amazing canyon area. James knew everything there was to know about the area, it's history, the terrain and so much more. Would absolutely do it again. In gratitude for these families sharing their land for people to see.
