Was such a gorgeous day and our guide Catherine was amazing. It was just my 9 year old son and I kayaking tandem through Lofton Creek. We are locals in the area but still got to experience a different side of our community. A well balanced nature sanctuary full of beautiful flowers, plants, butterflies, turtles, and yes, even Big Momma gator herself and her young adolescents.

I live in California and called Amelia Adventures about a week before my trip to Amelia Island. I was fortunate to get Catherine, who is the owner along with her husband Thomas, on the phone. Catherine was extremely helpful. I explained to her that I was an experienced kayaker but my friend was not. Well, she suggested the Lofton Creek tour which is about five miles outside of the Island. We had a tandem kayak and along with two other couples set out from the staging area with Catherine.It was a very easy and scenic paddle on Lofton Creek. Catherine knew all about the native plants and birds. We also saw an alligator and more than a few turtles. My friend and I had a wonderful time. As I said, it was my friends first kayak experience and she now wants to do more. Catherine also took lots of pictures that we downloaded. They are beautiful. I don’t know how she took so many pictures while paddling and narrating. Catherine is amazing. These are pictures that we will cherish years to come. I am so glad that the first call I made was to Amelia Adventures. It’s a great outfit and the prices for the tours are very reasonable. If you are heading to Amelia Island and you want to kayak, this is the group to do it with. Jim Pawling Marina, California

This morning a group of six of us headed out to kayak for two hours on the river. It was a lot of fun, very nice and relaxing and also very informative. We had a great time with our guides and would recommend this for a local and enjoyable activity for your entire family,,, A good workout as well !
