BOATER BEWARE - The $125 Deposit you pay IS NOT A DEPOSIT - No where does it mention in Need to Know that they will use this deposit to charge you a $125 FLAT FEE for gas and taxes no matter how much the real gas and taxes really cost ! Actual gas is $20 and actual taxes $16. Overcharged us almost $100. He claims when he speaks to you he tells you ( in his fast speaking British dialect ) that he tells you this. FALSE ! And no where is it explained BEFOREHAND in writing that the $125 you pay when you make the reservation is not a deposit but rather an ABSORBITANT ADDITIONAL FIXED FLAT FEE FOR GAS AND TAXES. If you don't believe me, check with any other boat rental and you will see, like a car rental, you are suppose to pay ONLY the gas you use. Besides the fact that we received a dilapidated, old, rusted boat with leather patches glued all over the seats and a continuous beeping sound from the motor. Nothing like the pictures.

So I am far from British and that is funny. We have actually had boats come in and use up to $138 in gas before, so that is not correct. By the time you pay taxes, which is also way more than the $16 this guy claims, gas for the boat and get your percentage from Groupon, there is many times that the $125 doesnt even allow us to break even. Our boats are the nicest in the area and this guy was absolutely raving about it until he realized the gas and taxes were a flat fee. This was also told to him 9 times on the phone before he actually came out. I was with my mechanic when he called and I said it so many times, my mechanic truly thought I was making a joke because this guy truly didnt understand a single thing that was told to him, nor would he listen to anything we told him. We would definitely not want a customer like this to drive a boat again.
