While in Boston to attend the US Open, my husband and I and our youngest son, enjoyed an incredible day trying delicacies of Boston’s North End while enjoying the history of this oldest of cities. Our guide, Sully, guided us on a thoroughly enjoyable and knowledgeable walking tour. We started out trying an amazing prosciutto and Parmesan bread from an amazing bakery. From there we went on to try cannolis and cappachinos, an Italian sandwich from a Salumaria, and then an amazing pizza. All this while seeing iconic sights such as Paul Revere’s home, Faneuil Hall, the Old North Church, and the spot of the Boston massacre. The afternoon continued with our walking tour past the New State building, through Beacon Hill and then into Boston Public Garden. Sully loves Boston and certainly knows his history and shares it in an entertaining manner. It was like having an old friend take us on a tour of his home town. In addition to the three of us, there was one other couple with us on the food tour and again just one other couple on the afternoon history tour. We were also fortunate to have Adam, an aspiring guide, with us so basically five tourists with two guides! I highly recommend the full 5 hour version of the tour.
