I’m not a tour kinda guy. Like, at all. However, something moved me to book spots on the Boston History and Food Walking Tour for me and my son, whose new student college orientation was the reason for our Beantown excursion.
Keith “Sully” O’Sullivan was our tour guide. He was wonderful. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He clearly enjoys his job, and he truly “unlocked” the city for me. What stood out most was his passion for Boston. His love for this place is as palpable as it is infectious.
Furthermore, after I indicated a special area of interest, Sully made a special point to include that in the presentation. Perhaps Sully has made me a tour kinda guy after all, or perhaps I’ll hate other future tours because other guides could never measure up! 🤣
In all seriousness, Sully gave my son and I more than a tour. He gave us a piece of himself. For that, I am grateful.
