When I booked the tour, I called the tour operator to find out the nearest stop to the pier where our ship was docked and was told stop 17 was about a mile away. We walked there and waited for about 30 minutes until another couple showed up waiting for the same tour. We finally found someone who had a tour map and realized that we signed up for the 14 stop tour, so we walked another mile to stop 14. Finally got on a trolley, which then proceeded back to the pier, at which they make stops 15 and 16 when there are ships in port (and on that day there were three). Drove past stop 17 before arriving at stop #1 where we were told that we needed to get off and get in line to begin the tour anew. After waiting another 45 minutes we were able to board another trolley but, since we needed to be back at the ship by 5:00, we just stayed on the trolley until we again arrived at the dock. Despite all that, the tour guides were very informative.

We only had one day in Boston, so decided to do the hop on/off bus. So glad we did! We got to see the entire city & spend some time in our choice of locations. All drivers were friendly & knowledgeable! I would highly recommend doing this if you have limited time.
