If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III (Class IV at higher water) Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

At lower water levels it's perfect for first-timers, families, and people who like experiencing life rather than Snapchatting it. At higher water levels, typically late-Spring thru early-Summer, this experience is best for adrenaline junkies and experienced paddlers in good physical condition and without pre-existing medical conditions.

This company is great - the guides, customer service, from beginning to end it was just fantastic. You won't go wrong with Defiance. They care about customers and visitors and it seems like they treat their staff well

I found this trip on Groupon. It was a fantastic deal. It was two hours long. The guides are friendly and enthusiastic. I enjoyed how much time we had on the water. I've done raft trips before that said they were two hours but maybe lasted an hour or so. This one was totally on point: left at the exact time scheduled and did not rush to get back. Highly recommend!

I’m a 50+ year old woman who was VERY apprehensive about rafting. It was almost 100 degrees outside and once the life jacket was tightened, I thought I was going to suffocate and faint! BUT once I got into raft, and splashed with cold water, I was fine. I felt safe with my 10 year old son also on my raft. Sam was a wonder guide. I sat in the back of the raft. Class 2 rapids for our trip was perfect! We brought a phone in a plastic case looped around our neck in which I’m SO GLAD we brought it! We took many great pics!
