If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III (Class IV at higher water) Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

At lower water levels it's perfect for first-timers, families, and people who like experiencing life rather than Snapchatting it. At higher water levels, typically late-Spring thru early-Summer, this experience is best for adrenaline junkies and experienced paddlers in good physical condition and without pre-existing medical conditions.

Great experience from beginning to end! We found a Groupon for this 1/2 day rafting trip and was a bit sceptical due to the low cost compared to other companies. I called to confirm pricing, Groupon, extra charges, etc. and everthing was exactly as listed. Upon arriving, the staff was super friendly and answered all our questions. Due to the river being very high, we were limited to a specific part of the river, as some parts were closed for safety. We were told ahead of time the rapids would be fun, but not quite as many on this part, which was ok, since it was our first time rafting and didn't need to be nervous. Our guide, Timmy, was excellent - super fun, explained some history about the area, and gave us a great time. We purchased the pictures at the end of the trip, all 23 of them for $50 (what great memories we have). I highly recommend Defiance Rafting Company. It was everything we could have hoped for, for our first family rafting trip. We had 3 adults and 3 kids, ages 12-18.

Our family of five with three kids (12, 10, 7) had a terrific rafting trip. The guides were very knowledgable, safe, and incredibly fun. Thanks for a memorable experience!

Great rafting trip with Defiance!!! Family trip with two rafts. Our guides were the bomb!! Our family ranged from 7 yrs - 58 yrs. With the river higher than average they made sure we were safe but had lots of fun, everyone got wet! I would definitely use them again!!! Thanks Onna!
