The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.
Please note: Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings and switches between MST (Mountain Standard Time) and PST (Pacific Standard Time) depending on the season.
Post COVID-19 Safety Updates - We politely request that you refrain from taking this tour should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you are at a high risk of contracting the disease. Please ensure 1 person per group wait in line for ticket exchange. Face masks will be highly recommended. Social distancing will be practiced on train platform and on the train. Seating on board the train will be limited to maximize social distancing, and guests will be asked to promptly take their seat keeping aisles clear and to remain seated except to use restrooms.

We booked the round trip first class package and had such a fun time! Our car's host, Cameron, was very knowledgeable and made killer drinks! We thoroughly enjoyed the old west skits, as well as Cameron's humorous commentary throughout the trip. The only downside was the amount of time at the Grand Canyon. 3.5 hours is not quite enough time for a decent hike, but more than enough time to eat, shop and explore around the south rim area. We opted for lunch at El Tovar and highly recommend the food & service. The train ride back to Williams was memorable with the "robbery" and tunes by Brian. Overall, it was a fun way to see the Grand Canyon without the hassle of driving.

First I will say the staff on the train was amazing they made the trip for us. We booked first class tickets based on description and pictures on the website, but when we got to the car we were seated in what was shown as 2nd class car on website. We learned only after we were on the train the First class wasn't actually available, very misleading and no disclaimer when booking. It doesn't seem right to charge 1st class fare for 2nd class seats.

The Grand Canyon railway from Williams is well worth the time! We took the luxury dome into the park and first class back home the same day. I’m glad I paid extra for the dome seats- amazing views, snack provided and drink service (including soft drinks and coffee for free alcohol including simple mixed like mimosas a for a small fee). The staff were attentive replacing our drinks removing trash and friendly conversation. Mark and Craig were amazingly friendly kind and fun! They provided just the right amount of information on the way. Also enjoyed live performers and a fun train robbery with friendly actors that were actually fun! We came back first class and it included everything the dome did but not elevated view. We were a group of 4 and Kristine (our friendly hostess for the return ride) turned seats around so we had a 4 some facing each other to talk. Very comfortable. Not quite as nice train as the luxury dome but service and food beverage all top notch. I highly recommend this for adults and it would be fun for kids. Then you drop off right at the Grand Canyon. Wow. We arrived before noon and caught the return train at 3, left at 3:30 (don’t miss the train)! It was a great way to get our first look at Grand Canyon. Easy free parking at the hotel by the train depot. History, nature, beauty and comfort. Definitely do it!
