Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

Snorkeling with manatee has been a life long dream of mine, which I finally was able to make it come true. Choosing to go with Gulf Coast Expeditions with Captain Ron driving the boat and Lauren as our guide in the water was absolutely the right choice! My 15 year old daughter and I started the morning with an air temp of around 38 degrees so I was a little worried about being cold on the boat. Captain Ron had the clear cover on the boat with the heater on when we arrived (the marina can be a little dark at that time, so if you can’t find them, just call- it’s easy and they are nice). You are given wetsuits and, because of the chill, they had long warm jackets for the boat ride. The ride was about 20 minutes or so (I kind of lost track because we were talking). It was just the 4 of us on the boat, so it was quite relaxed and very pleasant. One of the draws was advantage of a small group, especially during these times. Captain Ron took us to their “usual” spot, but there weren’t as many manatees there as they wanted, so we went to a different location. The manatees were sweet and would swim up to us and chew on the ropes or algae of the boat. Lauren was fantastic guiding in the water and took pictures and video so we could just enjoy the experience of swimming with these amazing gentle beasts. When we got back on the boat there was hot chocolate and coffee available for the return trip. The entire experience was amazing- I highly recommend booking with them.

We had an amazing time snorkeling with the manatees. Captain Ron was professional and knowledgeable and Lauren was a great guide. We highly recommend this if your going with kids. Our girls (5 & 7) had so much fun and Lauren did a great job getting them in to the water.

Amazing trip! I booked only 4 hrs before going on the 10am tour. Me and my 5y/o were the only ones. Many places would have tried to reschedule but they showed up and treated it the same as if they had a full tour. Ron was friendly and knowledgeable. In the water Lauren let my daughter use her as a personal flotation device so she was comfortable without me not being able to enjoy the experience. We went to a location where we saw lots and lots of manatees. Very good experience and I would book any tour with this company!
