• Not be pregnant
• Not weigh over 270 lbs.
• Wear closed-toe shoes

We did the day trip with Haleakala visit and bike cruise with our two teen boys, ages 16 and 13. Didn't want to hassle with getting boys up earlier for the sunrise. The bike shop supplied rain gear (which we didn't use), fleece vests for warmth (which I used at the top of the volcano), gloves and backpacks if wanted. I had my own backpack but left it in the van because we really didn't stop much on the ride. The volcano portion was relatively short but interesting, but of course the highlight was the bike ride. We don't bike a lot, but the bikes were lightweight, and easy to brake and change gears. We hardly pedaled. We did the guided trip because we didn't want to get lost and wanted help if we had a flat tire or something. Having a third party around also keeps the boys from arguing with each other:) Our guide, Tim, was great and very entertaining/informative during the time we were in the van going up the volcano and back and on the bikes. Eddie was our driver and we felt very safe going around curves with no guardrails. Hotel PU in Ka'anapali was 6:45, and we were done with the ride by 1. Shuttle wasn't available back to the hotel until 2, so we had yummy lunch/bakery items at Colleen's a few doors down from the shop while we were waiting (take out due to COVID-19). Once you leave the shop to head up the volcano, there are no snacks or water -- I should have packed some as the kids got a bit hungry and I got a bit thirsty before we started the bike ride. 16 year old continues to mention how much fun he had on the ride, which is a big deal since it didn't involve electronics!

Bike Maui made the entire experience informative fun and relaxed while conveying bike safety. I would go gain.

Always a blast! The staff is wonderful! It was the perfect way to start off the new year! Highly recommend! This is a must when visit Maui!
