Seward Helicopters is the oldest operating Helicopter company is Seward. We know the Seward area and Godwin Glacier better than anyone else. Experience the beauty of winter during the summer on this helicopter and sledding tour. Helicopter into a professional dog camp on top of the Godwin Glacier and meet great athletes, the Alaskan huskies and mushers while learning the ins and outs of Alaska’s state sport. Ride along on an easy, 2-mile dog sled ride, learn more about how these beautiful dogs are raised, then play in the snow and cuddle with the puppies.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Due to FAA regulations there is a 290lb weight limit per seat including any gear a guest is carrying
Seats and helicopters are assigned based on balancing the weight of the helicopter for safety, although an effort is made to accommodate guest preference
Child pricing is for those under 12 years old and infants are considered babies under 24 months

Definitely the best experience in owr visit to Alaska. The views and the ride with the dogs was very nice. Be at the glacier and see the snow so white and bright was wonderful. I completly recommend the experience, the company was very serius and pick up us on time at our hotel. They bring you a special shoe covers for the snow, so you don´t need to bring special shoes.

The helicopter flight and dog sled ride were completely as advertised - no surprises. The flight was smooth with great views of the mountains and glacier. The team of mushers on the glacier were friendly and knowledgeable - their love of the dogs is obvious. And the dogs LOVE to run! Hugging the puppies was a great way to start the day. They explained to us that the visits from tourists like us helps to socialize the puppies and provides weight training for the team dogs. A win-win for everyone.

This is definitely one thing you need to do in Seward! The staff is super friendly and made sure we were in our boots and ready to fly. Our pilot, Garret, was friendly, showed us amazing views and gave us information during the flight. Our musher, Haven, was super sweet, knowledgable and funny doing our time on the glacier. She gave us a lot of information about the dogs, the sleds, and the Iditarod races. While riding the sled, she would stop and take photos of us, tell us about how the dogs were doing when they were running, and tell us about each individual dog. After riding the sled we were able to hold future Iditarod puppies. Super cute!! The flight from the glacier seemed way too short for all there was to see. I highly recommend this!!
