Helicopter into a professional dog camp on top of the Godwin Glacier and meet great athletes, the Alaskan huskies and mushers while learning the ins and outs of Alaska’s state sport. Ride along on an easy, 2-mile dog sled ride, learn more about how these beautiful dogs are raised, then play in the snow and cuddle with the puppies.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Due to FAA regulations there is a 290lb weight limit per seat including any gear a guest is carrying
Seats and helicopters are assigned based on balancing the weight of the helicopter for safety, although an effort is made to accommodate guest preference
Child pricing is for those under 12 years old and infants are considered babies under 24 months

My family and I just returned from an epic adventure in Alaska which included this tour. We appreciated the friendly guides, office staff and helicopter pilot. Although not inexpensive, this trip really hits a lot on our Alaska bucket list - from a helicopter ride, glacier landing, playing with huskies and dogsledding. A must!

We were lucky to get one of the last days where the dog sledding experience was available from Juneau. The organisation was excellent. The helicopter ride was thrilling with exhilarating views of glaciers, mountains and the Juneau Icefield. The dogs were great and so eager to go sledding while the views in the snow bowl where we sledded were spectacular. Well worth the price for an unforgettable experience.

Weather looked threatening, was not very warm in Seward, but the trip went on. Helicopter ride up and back was great, saw some mountain sheep (admittedly just white dots on the slopes) but the highlight was the dogs (and puppies.) The area is a genuine training camp for sled teams and real mushers are there to answer and questions about the dogs and sled racing. The company provided protection against the wet snow (ice??) and drizzle and the dogs provided all the entertainment needed. There was a sled ride around a circular trail that was a lot of fun. We opted for an extra cost lunch and more time on the glacier, but I might not do that again. It is a fine box lunch, more than adequate for the occasion, but there is a lack of picnic tables on a glacier, if you can believe that. It is also cool, not unpleasant but a chill will gradually work its way in. Great fun and I would certainly do it again.
