A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We are a certified Responsible Whale Watching partner with the World Cetacean Alliance located in Dana Point, CA, the Dolphin and Whale Capital of the World®, and the first Whale Heritage Site in the Americas.

Captain Chuck and Will were great… very knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we had the experience of seeing some amazing animals! (The brownies were pretty tasty, too!)😉

Janel (?) was a very nice and informative guide. You can tell she has a true passion for marine life. We did not see any whales, but rather a large pod of stampeding dolphin, which was very cool, as they were riding the bow. Rationally I cannot fault the company for not finding whales, as they cannot control nature; although other companies offer a rain check if whales are not seen (not sure if the Dana Point companies do this, but other whale watching locations do). The zodiac boat was fast and comfortable. One tip: add more bluetooth speakers on the bow and stern so that everyone can hear what the guide is saying. If you were not sitting right there you could not hear above the motor noise. This was not the fault of the crew. This should be a fixable technology problem. Mary was a good captain.

It's wonderful that you enjoyed seeing the stampeding dolphins! Since our safaris are not limited to only seeing whales, we only offer a voucher to come back when a trip turns up zero - no whales, no dolphins. It was an exciting tour with pleasant scenery with lots of commentary and very educational. I never seen so many Dolphins all at once.
