Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We got to see up close a huge pod of thousands of dolphins "STAMPEDE".....literally all of the pod taking off in full speed jumping-swimming toward a school of bait fish 2 miles away. So many young dolphins and babies in this pod some maybe 20" long. The Zodiac is really fast and super fun. Capt. Gary was great. The brownies hit the spot. THANKS, from, Dave Mann

What a great trip with Captain Matt & First Mate Zoe! The zodiac ride was so fast & fun and our first sighting was a beautiful breach by a humpback whale. We stayed with the humpback for quite some time, and then zipped over to a small group of playful, marvellous bottlenose dolphins, who were so close to us. This was my second trip with Capt. Dave’s (first on the zodiac) and, of a few Dana Point whale watching company cruises I’ve gone out on, this was, by far, my favourite. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful day at Dana Point this 18th day of October. This is our 2nd adventure with Capt. Dave’s. It was wonderful, we saw 2 different types of dolphins, right around 75 in each pod. But the highlight of the day was seeing 5 different Humpback whales. WOW, what a great day. I would high recommend this tour. Our tour guides, Christian, the caption and his 1st mate, Jess where 2 of the best guides we’ve had. I’m hoping they will be on our next trip in April 2023.
