Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We had a great time on the zodiac adventure! We had Captain Christian and Hannah as our guides. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw two separate pods of dolphins, one had between 300-500. It was incredible! We also saw a sunfish and several sea lions on a dinghy- very interesting creatures :) Although we didn’t see a whale, the sea life we did see was impressive. Can’t wait to come back in March!

We had a great tour with Captain Matt and first mate Zoey. They made our time on the boat fun and were very informative. We watched a humpback whale for a while (amazing). Also, we saw a fin whale and sea lions hanging out on a buoy while heading back to land.

It was my daughter and grandson's first time on the water like this and we all had a blast! It was so much fun. We were pretty much out of the whale migrating season and didn't see any, but that didn't stop Capt. Marie and First Mate Michael from showing us a wonderful time. Capt. Marie found one of the pods of Common Dolphins off our coast. They estimated there were about 300 - 500 dolphins in this pod. Then they promptly spent the rest of the time staying with them so all 18 of us watched them swim, jump, leap around the boat. Michael was knowledgeable and attentive to everyone and made sure we all got a chance to go up to the bow and enjoy the dolphins. Keeping in touch with the other boats, Capt. Marie found out that there was a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins close and took the time to go over there and let us get a good look at them as well. This was our fourth trip with Capt. Dave's and we whole heartedly recommend it to everyone. Thanks again Capt. Marie and Michael.
