This was a very interesting and different adventure. You really do go trawling for shrimp for a couple of hours. Our first mate, Sky, was very engaging and informative about all things "shrimping" and a whole bunch more about the area, marine life and the like. She made the 45 minutes of slowly driving around the water palatable. The real fun started as the nets were hauled in and we sifted through the various forms of sea life (and not-so-live-anymore sea life). And, in the end, we had a pile of shrimp to pop heads and take home.
So is it exhilarating like renting jet skis or parasailing? No. Is it both interesting and educational? Yes! After all, how many people do you know who have gone shrimping in the US??
