Why lay down when you can stand up? Learn to stand up paddle, or SUP, in Kailua. This ancient water sport has made a major comeback with the help of new board technology, increasing the performance and ease of riding. Stand up paddling combines the thrill of surfing with the techniques of paddling, a match made in heaven. Kailua offers a variety of conditions, from flat water cruising to moderate chop and rolling waves. Lessons generally stick to the calmest areas to practice basic strokes and techniques.

The wind was so strong that I couldn't do stand-up paddles in the sea, so I was asked if I wanted to do stand-up paddles in the river or kayak in the sea, so I switched to kayaking. It was a shame we couldn’t stand up paddle, but kayaking was fun and quick! Tomo-san's guide also explained the island in detail. If you get the chance to come back, I would love to see you!

sup. I rowed to Flat Island. It was exhausting, but fun! The staff were also kind. It was also OK in Japanese! In the afternoon, we went shopping for bikes. I want to come back again with the price included.

EMI and NATSUE showed me around very kindly. I enjoyed the time because I learned the rules of Flat Island such as renting out sup and renting out bikes.
