Why lay down when you can stand up? Learn to stand up paddle, or SUP, in Kailua. This ancient water sport has made a major comeback with the help of new board technology, increasing the performance and ease of riding. Stand up paddling combines the thrill of surfing with the techniques of paddling, a match made in heaven. Kailua offers a variety of conditions, from flat water cruising to moderate chop and rolling waves. Lessons generally stick to the calmest areas to practice basic strokes and techniques.

We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. I had always wanted to try SUP, so I chose it, and it was the most fun thing I did during my trip to Hawaii! The activity was fun, of course, but our instructor, Tomo, was great at teaching, and he was really funny and fun! Even beginners can enjoy it with peace of mind! After SUP, we were given snorkeling equipment and went to Lanikai Beach to snorkel. ✨ I had other plans so I went in the afternoon, but I wish I had gone in the morning and spent the whole day there. I definitely recommend going. 👍

Our guide, Tomo, was the best. He called out to us appropriately, took good care of our children, and I was very happy to see their smiles. Thanks to Tomo, our whole family was able to have a great time. He taught us a lot about the good points of SUP, and I would like to ask for his help again next year.
