Whale watching in the wild and pristine waters of Icy Strait, where Humpback whales are abundant and sighted on every trip, with small business owner Captain Josh! Otter and Steller Sea Lions are also very common, with Orcas, Brown Bears, and other wildlife frequently sighted!

Owned and operated by our own Captain Josh, he will be your personal guide as he navigates the wilderness waters of Icy strait. What makes his tours special is the energy he has and the creative ways he finds to show you his beloved wildlife, so that you can really see and appreciate these creatures with him, and to make every tour amazing.

His 14 passenger vessel was designed specifically for whale watching on Alaska's waters, and will provide a safe and stable viewing platform for you. He also provides the one truly Drone-integrated whale watching tour in the world, providing you with views and videos of wildlife that are truly unique, and at the end of it, you get to take the footage from your tour home!

We were able to view sea otters, harbor seals and whales. Watching them breach as a group, while feeding, was amazing. The drone footage seemed pretaped except for the end where they add your family. But the footage was good.

This is an amazing excursion! Started out slow, not seeing much, but it wasn't Captain Josh's fault. His tenacity at knowing the behavior of humpbacks and orcas, and their normal hangout spots saved the day. And then suddenly there was a pod of nine humpbacks bubble-net feeding! Capt. Josh got us as close as he could, and the drone told us where they were coming up next so our cameras were ready! He even extended the tour so we could get extra photos. He knows so much about the entire ecosystem. Amazing!!!

Captain did a nice job pointing things out on the tour. Unfortunately, his headset kept going out so we couldn’t hear much of what he was saying. Should probably keep a backup on board. Also, it says on the app there are snacks and drinks. That was not the case.

Hello, there were snacks at the back, Granola bars and Rice Krispy Treats, as well as drinks in the cooler on the back deck. I'm sorry you didn't find them, but if you had asked either of your crew they would have been happy to provide them to you. So sorry about the technical difficulties with the headset, it was glitchy that day but usually does just fine. I hope you were still able to enjoy the wildlife and drone footage though!
