My wife and have been on several whale tours, this was one of the best. Things started slowly as far as viewing was concerned but kept getting better and better. Josh is a talented guy with enormous knowledge and information. His experiences in Alaska just contributed to his narrative. He did things like commercial fishing earlier on, and he has been on whale/fishing tours since he was twelve. I believe he is in his late twenties now, that provided a wealth of information.
He gave background on lots of whales, birds (yea we got our fill of bald eagles,) otters, seals and fish. He even reached out and caught an orange rockfish, describing it before releasing it again.
He launched a drone which he used to track wildlife, taking photos all of the while. He offered us a flash drive that displayed a photo of our small group waving from the deck of his boat, and photos of the day's catch (so to speak.) It also included a large number of his best photos from previous events. Patrick his helper was great also. Our friends will be envious.
It was a windy day and bumpy on the way out but true to his word, things calmed down considerably. No disappointment whatsoever for us, just a wonderful experience.
