Gabriel was great on the tour. Provided lots of information. The stops were good. More time at Observatory or Hollywood would be good, but understand the time allowed is needed, so everything else could be seen too.

Thank you for submitting your most welcome review. I have shared it with Gabriel and he has expressed his appreciation for what you have said. Your observation about time allocated to the various attractions points out a major challenge we have. Los Angles has so many very special attractions, how many can we squeeze into the tour without overwhelming our guests. Thank you for your understanding and support.

We chose this tour for the itinerary and for the most part it was okay; especially the view from Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign, and Stars near Chinese Theater. However, too much time on the freeway and the stop at the end of the day at Venice Beach was a bust when we could have stopped at Santa Monica. (On the advertised itinerary I assumed Santa Monica would be a stop. ) Pot shops aren’t of interest to me. Liked the lunch stop at Mel’s Diner. The bus was packed like sardines. Broken seat belt had sharp edges protruding from the seat and because we were so crowded in we had to sit on the sharp edges. When we brought it to our driver’s attention, he only said “ oh yeah we know about that.“ Also we were sitting toward the back and the driver would mention something was “over there. We had no idea what direction we were supposed to look. He also didn’t take his audience into account. Nobody on our bus cared about celebrity gossip but that’s about all he talked about.

We always want to hear from our guests. Of course we prefer their comments to be complementary. We know that, in spite of our trying, we cannot be all things to all people. One person might hope for lots of Hollywood glitter while the person sitting next to him has always wanted to see Muscle Beach. We include (and exclude) what our guests over the years have told us about. We take reviews VERY seriously and hope to improve where improvement is possible. Your "too much time on the freeway" is one thing we can only wish we could fix. Los Angeles is a big place and its attractions are not accumulated in one convenient spot. Just getting to the Los Angeles city center from our originating Long Beach base is over 25 miles (yes, freeway miles). Your reference to the broken seat belt is important. When the guide acknowledged we knew about it he probably should have said a bit more about why it was broken and what we were doing about it. There were actually a couple of them apparently intentionally broken by prior passengers. We don't know how or why. Replacement parts have been ordered and, hopefully will have been installed by the time you read this reply. With your final comment that "nobody on our bus cared about...." is curious. One might expect that there would at least be "somebody" on a "Hollywood" tour who might want to hear some celebrity gossip. I hope you were not actually the spokesperson for that group.
