Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

Our family had a great experience with this company! Snorkeling with the manta rays at night was such a unique experience. Lee and Caleb were great guides. They made sure we were all comfortable and taken care of. Communication beforehand on where to park and how to get to the dock was very clear. We recommend!

We had an awesome time with Captain Frank and Dylan. We had never done this before we and so happy we chose Hawaii Oceanic. The crew was extremely customer service oriented from making sure we had the right equipment to giving us individual attention if needed, and Dylan entertained us with his knowledge and stories. We were hoping to see a few rays but ending up seeing dozens and so close to them it was incredible. We had the best time ever. Every person in our family picked this as the best experience of our entire Hawaiian vacation.

Amazing night manta ray snorkel adventure at Big Island. Dillon and Frank took excellent care of my wife and me on the boat ride and in the water with the amazing manta rays.
