My husband and I booked this tour last minute based on our positive experience with the zipline tour with this company, and this tour did not disappoint! This was one of the best experiences we had during our week long honeymoon. Rich was our guide and we could NOT have had a better experience. Including my husband and myself, there were only 5 on the tour. Rich even started a little early because we had all checked in by 2:45pm. You could tell Rich really enjoyed his job and wanted to cater the experience to all of us on the tour so we could all enjoy it, and he did that and more! This tour was such a great value, because you get so much more than just a stargazing experience. We got to go to the Big Island Chocolate factory, Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots, Kaumana cave (a lava tube we got to explore), and then a picnic lunch up at the Mauna Kea recreation area with stargazing afterwards. Rich taught us all in a way everyone could understand and remember. His enthusiasm for what he was doing was so contagious and made everyone excited. I learned a lot and had so much fun throughout this tour. I am so glad my husband and I booked the tour, it was definitely a highlight of our trip and one we will never forget!

I can't praise this company enough and that's largely due to the fantastic guide Richard. He was incredibly knowledgable and patient throughout the day trip. He made an extra effort to engage my 4yo at each stop up to Mauna Kea. Stargazing is not what we did we observed the heavens thanks to his efforts in bringing a 10in telescope and 11 years prior experience w the observatory. He explained so many wonderous facts about the cosmos while while focusing the telescope onto Saturn, various stars, the moon, nebulas and distant galaxies. My kiddo had a blast and so did we!
