This was a day to remember always. Our guide Krystal was amazing. She is an astrophysicist and was very knowledgeable of the culture, plant life, geology, and of course, the heavens. She has a great sense of humor, a lovely young spirited woman and literally loves what she does as a guide to help us understand the geology and the many stars of many galaxies. The stops we had made along the way were, Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots, Kaumana Lava Tube; which now is the only lava tube you can observe. Due to the 80,000 earthquakes over the summer the Thurston Lava Tube in the Volcanoes National Park is closed forever and deemed unsafe for the public to observe any longer. Note: When on this tour you’ll enjoy looking at the heavens with an amazing telescope that this tour provides. They provide a choice of different lunches, snacks and drinks. They provide flashlights and jackets. Dress warm because it is quite cold at 7500 feet above sea level, when stargazing. If you have or haven’t seen the heavens through a telescope of this magnitude, book this tour. It was my birthday today and it literally was the best birthday EVER!!!

Happy belated birthday, Anuenue8!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for touring with us on your special day. Krystal is amazing, we agree, and we are thrilled to have her. People don't usually associate Hawai'i with cool and even cold temperatures, but with the high elevations here, there are indeed occasions for warm clothes. We do provide parkas, but it is better when our guests wear layers and good shoes, so that they are prepared for the temperature changes.
Mahalo!
