Alysa was our guide. She was awesome! Lots of knowledge and a nice entry level rapids for the family of 6 (mom and dad plus 14, 12, 9, and 7)

We booked our Mendenhall Glacier Hall Trip with Alaska Travel Adventures. A short bus ride away (~15 minutes away from the Tram) and we were in the main clearing to gear up. The crew has waders, boots ready to go (no need to bring anything!) Gentry (from Texas) was our guide and he did a fabulous job with commentaries of our surroundings while working the oars downstream. We are glad to have done this trip as it was evident that Mendenhall Glacier was retreating and at a rapid rate. We hit a few ~ Class 1-2 rapids with icy splashes! Don’t expect real whitewater rafting but a casual trip through a beautiful setting. A slow float where Gentry pointed out 2 eagle nests (we saw a silhouette of an eagle and towards the end we saw the tippy head of a harbor seal. Reindeer sausages, cheese and crackers to end the trip.

The tour guide Gentry, was excellent and funny. Very well inform about the river itself and funny. Really enjoyed it.
