Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Everyone boards an old school bus, which I thought was a lot of fun, then we drove through the canyon and the guides were great. They were young and cracked family friendly jokes. They kept the whole day light, entertaining and educational. I had Ben, but Emma and Caleb were there too. The scenery was gorgeous and we got to swim in the river. Great time!!

This was a relaxing way to start the day with awesome views, and great company! Our rafting guy did an awesome job, and they explained so much to us along the way.

The ride conducted by gavin was entertaining and full of adventure. We never felt part of a routine, Gavin made us all feel special with great focus to details and wild life search. Always careful to avoid accidents he provided us with swimming stops on the way. Detailed safety explanations were also taught to us before the ride. We definetely refer Gavin to anyone interested on taking this tour.
