Monument Valley speaks for itself. The beautiful red rock monoliths, the native plants, and the amazing iconic sights. You can one minute be in a rainstorm, the next the sun will be out. Each season changing the landscape into a unique masterpiece. Our guides love to share where to get the best photo op. If you go with Navajo spirit tours you will find all our guides are unique and amazing, they bring the Valley alive with their love for teaching and sharing their firsthand experiences within Navajo culture. They have all grown up locally so have a wealth of knowledge that they so eloquently and freely share. They love a good adventure and look at each guest that visits as a friend. Navajo Spirit tours doesn’t want you to just visit they want you to take a bit of Monument Valley home with you in your heart.

Our tour leader was Larson Homer, a Navajo. He was happy, polite, knowledgable and willing to answer any and all questions. We were 8 people in our group ranging in age from 8 to 78. We were all pleased with his in depth, yet simple description of the geological things we were seeing and of the Navajo philosophy that petmeated the culture of the original residents of the unique land. We were all extremely captivated by his flute playing that helped us reflect on the spiritual quality of the peace-loving people who occupied the canyons and sheltered along the mesas and buttes. I cannot remember a more meaningful and jaw dropping experience layered with historical references and laced with familial story telling. If I could give a higher rating I would. It was exceptional in every way.

I took my niece and her five year old daughter to Monument Valley. Larson was our guide and did an awesome job. I liked the personal stories added. The scenery was amazing. There were many stos and we were able to walk around. My five year old niece stayed entertained the entire tour. At the Big Hogan Larson played a wooden flute which had an amazing sound there. To see places and listen to music of the Navsjo was wonderful. I would take this tour again, especially if Larson was the guide.

This tour was everything we could have hoped for and more! Our tour guide Larsen was the nicest guy who gave us a view into the lives and history of the valley and the Dineh (Navajo) people, his people, and for those 3 hours we felt like we were brought into the secrets of a sacred culture and forgotten world. We were transfixed! The views and sites off the beaten track were unbelievable, and Larsen even played us flute music at one of the great sites. Authentic & powerful, we will never ever forget this experience of a lifetime.
