Loved the balloon ride. Had hoped to actually see the sunrise, but was probably able to see more with the time that we left. It was a beautiful ride! Loved our pilot, Al. He was the best and I appreciated that he told his crew that they did a good job in getting the balloon ready. The landing.... Yeah, about that. LOVED IT! Had a wonderful breakfast with mimosas when we landed. Would definitely do this again!

On vacation I decided it was time to mark something off "the list"--in the Phoenix/Sedona area it was a hot air balloon flight. I chose Hot Air Expeditions upon the recommendation of the concierge at the vacation resort. It was a great experience! If you choose to go in the summer, get ready to go EARLY in the morning because of heat and safety issues. Kyle, the crew chief, picked me up first at 4:40 a.m., and we were on the way. With several stops at other resorts for pick-ups, there was plenty of time to talk with Kyle about ballooning and other great tourist activities. He was so knowledgeable about the area--a great tour guide--very well-spoken and polite too! The balloon ride was just fabulous! The captain, Al, kept us informed and safe. If you have concerns and/or fears, you should be on the ride with Al. He'll take care of things! After the ride you are treated to a champagne toast and a lighter breakfast of quiche, fruit, cheese, and croissants. The tables were set with real linens and the meal was served on dinnerware. No plastic here--thank goodness! There was a birthday celebration, so there was an extra bonus of birthday cake. What a first class experience! And well worth getting up so early!

Deanna, We are pleased that you choose Hot Air Expeditions to cross something off "the list". Even more so, that you had such a great experience. Our drivers are part tour guide and part comedian, trying to make sure everyone feels involved and excited about the journey he is helping you take. Captain Al is a wonderful pilot and he also makes sure everyone is comfortable with their flight along with making sure everyone is safe. Those are two of the very things that make our Pilots and our Crew so spectacular. This is not just a job to get by. They all truly love what they do and it shows with every flight from pick up to drop off and everything in between. Helping some one celebrate, especially with cake, is always a wonderful ending to Breakfast in the desert. Thank you for your wonderful comments. We truly appreciate all our passengers. We hope we can take you up, up and away again soon.

I love hot air ballooning and have flown in many different states. Our home here in AZ blesses us with views of the balloons everyday. Our daughter had never flown in a hot air balloon before, so it was definitely time for this special experience. Having watched the different balloon companies from our balcony each day, we knew Hot Air Expeditions had the most balloons and the best crews in the area. On our early walks we would watch them launch, it was like a private balloon festival! When we took our trip, we were delighted with our wonderful pilot and the crew that made our daughter's first flight so special. Because Hot Air Expeditions has several balloons, it's easier to do an impromptu flight. Over the years of watching the different balloon companies, we would see a small company, typically with one balloon, over load the basket and not provide the amazing experience that their passengers were expecting. The distinctive cactus balloons are Hot Air Expeditions trade mark, so that will help when you're comparing companies. Be cautious about bargain balloon coupons, because it can be a real disappointment, for something that should be a wonderful experience.

Sheila, First off, thank you for your kind words. Secondly, for letting us know how much you enjoy watching us, in your words "a private balloon festival". We are pleased that you choose us of all the local companies to take you and your daughter for her first flight. How I envy you being able to watch from our balloons while enjoying the sunrise. We couldn't agree more, our pilots and crew are a delight to be around, not only are they first and foremost knowledgeable and have your safety always in the forefront; but they are really good story tellers also. We hope that your daughter enjoyed her first flight as much as you did. Hopefully, this will being her first of many flights. We hope you both will let us take you up, up and away again soon.
