I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. First, the tour:
You start with a Chuck Wagon Style breakfast which is okay. not gourmet, but passable for sure.
You visit Mt. Rushmore, the Needles Hwy, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument and then you finish the night with a Chuck Wagon meal and show. Driving that route would have given me a stroke. It is full of hairpin turns, piggy tail turns, and switchbacks- plus crazy tiny tunnels.
Now onto the tour guide- we had Ken Updyke. I loved him. He is a teacher, and you can tell he would be amazing. He tells terrible Dad jokes and sprinkles in lots of interesting facts about where you are and what you are seeing. I came as a solo tourist and he made sure to include me and keep me engaged, which was very appreciated. I loved the tour, the wildlife we saw, the incredible scenery and Ken's playful commentary.
