There are so many tours and tour companies from which to choose but I can't imagine any of them would be better than Celebration. From first contact with the owner, Oz, I knew we'd chosen well. He is 5th generation New Orleans so knows the city inside and out. He never sounded scripted even though he's been at it for quite some time. He never hurried, encouraged and answered all questions and threw in many little tidbits about what we saw.

We signed up for a 3 hours New Orleans tour. We were the last couple to be picked up at their hotel and the large van was pretty full. The van was old and uncomfortable for spending 3 hours in it. The legroom and hip room (we are tall but thin) resembled a low cost airline. My knees were pressing hard against the bench in front of me and I immediately wondered why I put myself in physical discomfort for s city tour. Not only that, but there was a family with two young children on board who kept interrupting the driver’s commentary with annoying and unrelated dumb questions. The driver was polite (as she should have been) to the children but the parents made no attempt to control their kids. Fortunately, half way through the tour, we stopped at the city park and the family decided to stay at the park and take the city tram back. That improved the situation immensely as we were no longer in a sardine can. While the driver/guide was pleasant and competent and gave a good tour(hence the three stars), the vans used are unacceptable. They are old, uncomfortable and have too many rows of bench seats. Our advice is to stay away unless you are assured the van is only half full.

Hey A A W, We really appreciate you taking your time to write a review, telling us about your experience, on your tour with us the other day. I’m sorry to learn that you didn’t completely enjoy your tour of New Orleans with us. Usually our guests are excited to tour the city on a 14 passenger van. Using a smaller vehicle allows us to go deeper into the French Quarter, Ninth Ward and Garden District. We are able to show you so much more than companies using larger vehicles. To be fair, your tour had a total of 7 adults and 2 kids on board. Half way through the tour 2 adults and 2 kids got off the tour at City Park. So half of your tour had a total of 5 adults on a 14 passenger van. Based on your review it sounds like you weren’t happy with how many people were on your tour and it didn’t help that some of them were kids. With that being said we do offer private tours. I feel that a private tour would have been perfect for you. All in all, we appreciate your 3 star review and we’re excited you enjoyed your tour guide Wanda. We’d love to earn a 5 star review from you in the future. So if you ever make it back to New Orleans please consider taking a private tour with us. Yes we saw a lot and the guide was very informative but she lacked warmth and personality. Was more like a teacher and not much passion. Looking at the other reviews- I wish we had Ozzie. She apparently was around for Katrina because she shared some info. We would have liked to hear more about it
