We had a great experience despite a big problem… the attendant at Stop 2 forgot to give me my tickets for the Empire State Building add-on so when we arrived at 4:45 for our scheduled reservation, we were told we didn’t have the correct tickets to enter. And by that time, Big Bus Tours had closed for the day. I chatted with someone online who told me to visit Stop 1 in the morning and talk to an attendant there. Thankfully, I met Wanda who helped get the entire situation fixed and was able to help me schedule a new reservation for later that day and gave me an extra day of the bus for the hassle. I highly recommend visiting Stop 1 to start your tour and not starting at another stop. Only Stop 1 had as many attendants available, but were more knowledgeable, and provided lots of helpful information. I suggest Big Bus either provide more knowledgeable attendants at the other stops or make it a requirement (or at least a strong suggestion to start at Stop 1) rather than saying on the tickets that you can redeem them at any stop.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we are pleased to hear that our team was able to help correct the issue with your reservation and you enjoyed your visit. It is true that we currently have the most amount of agents at our first stop, but prior to COVID, we did staff most locations. We hope to be able to return to our normal operations soon and appreciate your suggestions for future guests!

This was way overpriced and incredibly poor quality. We did both routes. The commentary is silly and virtually pointless. It hardly provides any actual information on the locations around and prioritises stupid dramatics between two narrators. If you expect to come out well informed on the city around you give this tour a skip. The busses were also poor quality, we sat on one of two seats left available on the top of one bus, the headphone port was broken and we had to move at the next stop. Many information points stop part way through the narration for no obvious reason and go back to the intermission music. Staff ok, but not particularly friendly or helpful. Overall it was a complete joke for the massive price. By far the worst city bus tour we’ve done. Usually really enjoy a city tour.

Hi there! We are sorry to hear that you had problems with the audio and that you did not enjoyed your tour. While our Downtown and Uptown tours have pre-recorded commentary available, we also offer live guides on our VIP Brooklyn Tour and Night Tour for those who prefer this experience. We encourage you to consider trying again in a different city or in New York. Wishing you a delightful weekend!
