PLEASE NOTE that visibility of the northern lights (aurora) is not guaranteed. It is a natural phenomenon we have no control over and no refunds will be given if the aurora cannot be seen.

The road to Murphy Dome is steep and if it is not plowed or is too icy and dangerous we will take customers to an alternative location that provides the same opportunity to see the aurora.

We went all the way and couldn’t see the northern lights. Probably the tour operator or the driver should have done some homework on this prior embarking the journey. Whether would it be visible or the right location to go. Previously when I did it another company, they had ensure that it will be fully visible.

Kailash, Whether or not the aurora is present in the sky is purely a matter of luck. There is nothing that we can do to force a natural phenomenon to present itself, and we make it very clear in the tour descriptions that there is no guarantee of Northern Lights. Additionally, the specific location that you go to does not matter nearly as much as having a clear sky, no light pollution, and high solar activity. We will always bring our guests to viable spots that have no light pollution and a clear view of the sky. We cannot control weather or solar activity, and these are purely a matter of chance. Despite what they may tell you, there is not a company in the world that can 100% guarantee a sighting of the Northern Lights; even with high solar activity and clear skies, nothing is ever guaranteed.

Well to start this was my wife and my anniversary. We scheduled this tour and the highlight of the evening was when we were standing in the cold for an hour at the scheduled time and address only to see the ride stop in the street right in front of our hotel. While we were standing there eagerly awaiting our adventure the van drove off without picking us up. No phone call was made to us. After an hour trying to get ahold of a company that apparently doesn’t have a real person to talk to unless you jump through a dozen different option and happen to select all the right numbers. We were told they couldn’t come back and get us. I also used the text option for the tour operator and got no response. We were told that there would be a request for returning our 220$ for this tour but no guarantee that we would be reimbursed for our payment even though we weren’t even picked up. This company is not personal at all when it comes to complications nor were there thorough in taking care of their clients. This could just be one horrible mistake in this assurance but it was a huge let down and fairly expensive to not assure we were taken care of and got to experience what we had paid for. Hopefully everyone has a better experience then we did.

Eric, We do sincerely apologize for your experience. Due to an unforeseen computer issue, you were able to book a tour that should not have been open and, as this occurred after office hours, there was unfortunately no one to receive your call. Your experience on the phone was completely with Viator, the booking agency that you made your reservation with. We unfortunately do not have any control over their customer service, but we have authorized them to give you a 100% refund. We would invite you to call our office if you are still in Alaska, and we can set you up with a tour.

The views were amazing. The Northern Lights even though they were not at peak activity were spectacular we are so glad that we saw them. It was a gorgeous full moon night so the entire scenery was just serene and spectacular. Logan our tour guide was very knowledgeable and well traveled. He gave us stories and tips about the area and the people and places to go. We had a great time.
