Join us on our tour to one of the most famous Northern Lights viewing spots, located north-northwest of Fairbanks -- Murphy Dome.

PLEASE NOTE that visibility of the northern lights (aurora) is not guaranteed. It is a natural phenomenon we have no control over and no refunds will be given if the aurora cannot be seen.

The road to Murphy Dome is steep and if it is not plowed or is too icy and dangerous we will take customers to an alternative location that provides the same opportunity to see the aurora.

The tour is actually nothing but a very expensive lift for a 20 minute drive. Driver picks you up at the hotel, drives you to Cleary summit, not Murphy dome, and takes you back after a couple of hours. The van is small and crowded. It's not even 4WD and it couldn't make it to Murphy's. We drove to Cleary summit by ourselves next day, much better option! Wish I knew it before booking. Good luck with chasing your Aurora!

Unfortunately, even the most robust 4WD vans will not make it to the top of that summit when there is a large amount of fresh snow or, as happened this past week, a large amount of snow melt. We will not risk getting stuck on top of that mountain in such circumstances, and we therefore have several alternate locations that we take guests to when the summit of Murphy Dome is too risky to attempt. We take the safety of our guests very seriously, and that is why we have two excellent alternatives that have fantastic views of the sky as well.

Great Aurora Forecast ; also large cloud coverage. Not a great night for viewing the Northern Light. Jared was kind . He drive us to a different site to chart the sky - the cloud coverage was simply too heavy.

Not worth it. More like a scam and you feel dumb for booking something like this. You do a much better job yourself. We are taken to the wrong place not what was on the ticket.
