We went out at 8:30AM. Drove to the North Shore from Waikiki. Took about an hour. The boat ride out was gentle enough and the crew member said we stopped about 3 miles out. The shark cage was quite the awesome experience. We were the second group to go out in the water. After viewing, several passengers were sick. My adult daughter and I took Dramamine and hour before arriving to the boat. I have to admit I felt slightly dizzy after coming out of the cage, but overcame it. Was very glad I took the Dramamine as I never get motion sickness, but know I could have if I hadn't taken precautions. My daughter and I enjoyed the ride back and saw a pod of dolphins in the distance. The crew were very nice and professional. I was concerned we might be chilly on the boat so early in the morning, but was not. Even after being in the water we were very comfortable. It was a great adventure and I felt totally safe. We opted to purchase the video so that we didn't have to worry about photographing or using our go pro, as we were holding onto the cage trying to see the sharks. The video has beautiful clear shots of the sharks and you are seen right in the cage as they swim past. You are given your dvd disc as you leave the boat, so there is no wait time or ordering after. Was very convenient. Overall, a very awesome experience!
