The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We thought we were going to see 7 caves not just one. Overall it was fun, too much talking not a lot of Kayaking. We just got to the area and just listened, which is hard to hear.

Feels like a scam, we went into the small tiny cave for like 1 minutes and the guid made an u-uturn and took us back out. Nothing like what it seems in the video. We thought we kayak through a small cave system or soemthing. The guide himself is very friendly and did give us some talks about the area and such.

Thank you for your review. We are bummed to read about the lackluster perspective of your experience. The Seven Sea Caves of La Jolla are an ancient natural wonder, carved over thousands of years of natural erosion and impact. The inside of the caves can be very dangerous and often inaccessible due to waves hitting the rock structures. For this reason, we will never risk the safety of our guests for an extra minute inside the cave. The few who are lucky enough to get inside experience an amazing clash of delicate sandstone carved over the years by immense powerful waves that are historically renowned and even sacred to some local cultures. Further, our little Cove attracts more biodiversity than anywhere else on the California coast, full of famous leopard sharks, dolphins, sea turtle, sea lions and more!
