The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Had a great time and also had two great guides. Really enjoyed the cave tour. Lauren and Alex are amazing guides. We recommend this tour to anyone willing to go on the ocean.

I lived in San Diego for over 40 years and had never done this! Took my friend from Washington to SD on vacation and this was our favorite thing we did, including Disneyland and the Fair. Not too hard for middle aged people. Staff makes it easy. They tell a lot about the history and geography of the La Jolla caves and cliffs as well as the marine life, which you'll see plenty of! We saw leopard sharks (harmless bottom feeders), dolphins, seals and tons of birds including cranes and osprey. Such an amazing day. Water is warm enough in the summer that you don't need a wetsuit but cool enough to be refreshing. The staff is wonderful and makes the whole thing pretty seemless. It was a great day!!

The guides were excellent. The company killed it as far as logistics. Charlie and Jesse were great guiding us through open ocean. Got up close and personal with some sea lions and their pups.
