The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to late or non-arrival of guests
Dress code is swim wear or beach attire (anything that can get wet)
Kayak weight limit is 425 lbs

A nice experience, but not a breath taking one. The staff from Everyday California were great to deal with. I just would have thought for the price that we paid we would have seen a whole lot more. You basically paddle out to the entrance of a cave. Spend 2-minutes in the cave so that they can quickly turn your kayak around and feed the next set of 2 boats into the cave. It's a factory with many other companies lining up their fleet of kayaks to get in. You spend much more time outside the cave waiting for your whole group to have their two minutes of exploring. Thankfully there were a few seals on the rocks to entertain us as we waited. After that you paddle back to the beach. Excursion ended.

I wish we brought our cameras so we could take pictures. It was a lovely time but I wish we were able to explore some areas more. It's a good idea to rent afterwards and then take your time exploring where you like. I loved learning about the local wildlife and our tour guide had a good attitude and fun jokes.
