The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

Well organized, friendly staff, good food, a whole new world at the top of the mountain. Playing music on the tramway calmed people’s fears and took away some of the anxiety and people actually sang along. Fun!

OMG, this was an awesome experience that I highly recommend. During our visit, we ate a late lunch/early dinner at the Peaks Resturant. It was delicious and the service was outstanding. I told the waiter (Daniel?) that we were celebrating my son passing the CPA exam. After dinner, he brought out ice cream with 3 spoons and “Congratulations” written in a raspberry sauce on the dish. The views from the mountain are beautiful and I am so glad we took the opportunity while in Palm Springs for this side trip! I had to check Family (teens) but it was actually my wife, me 24 year old son and me. I had been in Palm Springs on business but we added on a few days and enjoyed the Arial Tram and other local experiences.

Take warm clothes if you go at night because it’s very cold if you venture outside. Cafe and restaurant has great choice but it is quite expensive so be prepared to part with your money. Two brilliant gift shops to get souvenirs
