This was a beautiful way to spend part of the early afternoon in March. In March, there was snow on top of the tram/mountain, and it was in the mid-80's and sunny on valley floor. I can only imagine how welcome the contrast is in prime heat. Slight wait for tram, but it was very reasonable as we didn't get tickets in advance. There were nice areas to enjoy the nature and quiet while you waited as well, and also food if you wanted it. Once up, you could stay up on top of the mountain as little or as long as you liked and exploring the trails in snow was fun. On the way down, our tram operator even played music to entertain the crowds which was a nice diversion for those like me who are slightly afraid of heights. But even if you are slightly afraid of heights, I'd suggest this as a way to get the lay of the land in this beautiful part of the country. This would also be interesting to do multiple times to appreciate seasonal and weather differences.
