Our family of 6 ((my son and his family + my wife and I) went out with Mike on July 3rd, 2017. We'd decided to try for halibut first; then, time remaining, salmon.
My wife and I have fished Alaska several times and have been out on guided fishing trips from the Keys to the Gulf of Mexico to Alaska and, this was certainly one of the best, most professional, guided fishing trips we have ever experienced!
The first thing I noticed was Mike's boat; 25-footer, new, clean and well-maintained. Nice covered cabin that easily accommodated all 6 of us with even a small (covered) head for the ladies!
Mike's approach from the time we boarded to the time we left was VERY professional, courteous and conscientious. He checked licenses, gave a thorough safety briefing and went over his approach to the day's fishing. All "spot on"! After about a 35-40 minute ride south we anchored and started fishing for halibut. Mike was very attentive to our 2 grandkids (ages 17 & 14) as well as the grown ups. It wasn't long til we started scoring some nice halibut (34 inches and up) + cod and rockfish. We limited on nice halibut in less than an hour. We then went back inshore and tried trolling for kings. No luck there but the rest of the fishing more than made up for it.
Again, cannot recommend Mike Fleece and The Alaska Catch more highly. Great with experienced and less-experienced fishermen / women and kids alike.
Enjoy!
