After traveling for MANY hours, having our driver, Raj, show up on time was a welcome relief. He was a good driver who got us to our next destination quickly. I was informed before making the reservation that I would be responsible for any tolls. However, I thought 35 was a little excessive for a bridge toll and short 5 minutes on the NJ Turnpike.... and he wanted that in cash up front. Then he kept reminding us about his tip....numerous times. My husband finally told him he would get his tip after the trip was over. I would use Carmel Limo again, but get pricing information made clear and hopefully be able to print out as proof.
As instructed per my reservation confirmation, I telephoned the number provided after I picked up my baggage. The representative who answered the phone was not polite and requested my telephone number. He told me there was no reservation under my telephone number. I pulled out my confirmation number and he began reprimanding me for having a different telephone number which I didn't. He finally told me where to wait for my driver and he would be there in 5 - 7 minutes. 20 minutes later I telephoned again and was transferred to several people. A gentleman got on the phone and asked me what terminal I arrived in. After traveling for many hours, I had no idea. I had given them my airline and flight number when I booked my reservation. He looked it up and told me what terminal I was in who cares and said my driver would be there within 10 minutes. It was frustrating. I had paid a handsome sum for this service, given them all my information, etc. I think it should have gone smoother. The driver was pleasant and the rest of the trip was uneventful.
