Jason was an awesome instructor, I feel like I couldn't have had a better experience! He stressed the importance of safety but also got me in the water right away! I would definitely recommend to anyone seeking productive surfing lessons.

As a transplant from the Midwest, I have little to no experience in the ocean. However, now living in Orange County I figured it was time to get more comfortable in the water and try out surfing as it is so popular in Southern California. I had the best experience at Learn to Surf. Jason the owner is extremely knowledgable about water safety and surfing. He put me right at ease! His experience is undeniable. I've taken multiple lessons with him and met some of his other instructors too and they are all great! With their expertise I was able to pop up and paddle into waves, which for me is amazing because I am very uncoordinated and not the best swimmer. Thank you Jason and your team for making me more comfortable in the water and turning me into a soCal surfer girl! ;)

Jason was a FANTASTIC instructor. Very personable and friendly. My friend and I went from having no experience to catching waves on our own in one lesson. He made sure to give you all of his attention and was great at correcting mistakes to make things easier for you. We also felt very safe having him in the water with us. This was a highlight of our trip to California and we will definitely come back. We were so impressed with his instruction and how laid back he was while still helping us learn and keeping us safe! I would HIGHLY recommend Jason if you want to learn how to surf.
