The drive from Tooele to the Onaqui HMA will take approximately 45 minutes & once we arrive at the range, there are various locations where we will begin to look for the herd grazing, resting or coming to/from the watering holes. Depending on where the horses are located, there will be walking involved, so close toed shoes are required, and dressing in layers is also recommended.

During your time in the field you will receive one on one photography instruction to help you improve your technical skills as well as your ability to creatively frame an image. Achieving beautiful wildlife photographs is about more than just being in the right place at the right time, it's about seeing the possibilities of the scene unfolding in front of you through the lens. Please bring your cell phone and/or camera but no external light sources or drones.

Detailed info. about the individual horses, families and herds is also provided throughout our time on the range.

Min age is 10 years old.

Guests will be driven along the historic Pony Express Trail from Lookout Pass down into the Skull valley on the way to view and photograph the wild Onaqui mustangs. Historical points of interest may be seen along the way and brief stops for photographic opportunities are made available.

A one of a kind experience that you will only regret if you don't go. From my first contact with Jen, the entire experience was personalized to give the best possible experience on the range with the horses. Jen went above and beyond helping navigate all the the bumps that come along with such an adventure, like adverse weather, to ensure I safely and ethically got all the shots I could hope to get. She did all this while providing tips to get the most out of my camera and individual histories of horses/the herd at large to support the storytelling that is so intrinsically important to photographers and us horse enthusiasts. Looking forward to taking return trips out with Jen in the near future.

Me and my daughter had a great time going on this outing with Jen. The close encounter with these beautiful animals was breathtaking. It is 100% recommendable for nature lovers and horse fanatics alike.
