We were in two minds whether to do this tour as we thought it was a bit pricey but so glad we did. Note:- there is a fee if you pay by credit card, think it was 10% not told by the hotel when we booked it. The driver did tell us but too late to bring the cash and if we had used the cash machine our card company would charge. Picked up at the hotel in an air conditioned minibus at 8.45 and dropped back at 6.15 Driver was so knowledgable. Gave us so many facts i wish I could remember half. There was not a lot of walking on this tour. Got off the bus to take pics of the Hollywood sign but literally 5 min stop. Had some time on the walk of fame, about 30 mins. The diner, stopped for 5 mins to look at Santa Monica Pier then 30 mins to have a walk on Venice Beach. Went to lunch at Mels Drive in. Iconic place, been in loads of films. Main thing for me they catered Gluten free important as I am Coeliac. Long day, but saw loads. Would definately recommend

Thank you for your recommendation. Our posted fare is actually including a 5% discount for cash payment. Payments by card do not include that discount. The hotels have been instructed to provide that information. We have followed up with your hotel to remind them of that fact. Our schedule allows 45 minutes on Hollywood Blvd, 1 hour for lunch at Mel's and, yes, that 5 minutes at the Griffith Observatory for the Hollywood sign picture is a parking restriction imposed on us by the Observatory. With all of attractions and over 100 miles we cover, the time restrictions are a necessary evil. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation.

Lots seen in a short space of time. Pick up slightly late, drop off earlier than expected. Could have wished for more time at certain stops such as Hollywood sign viewpoint very rushed. Driver knowledgeable but rather opinionated learnt a lot about him!

We spent some time in Long Beach and chose to do this tour on one of the days. Our van and driver were right on time to get us and it was a pleasure to sit back and let him do the driving. He said we picked a good day, Saturday, because there was less traffic. Looked like a lot to me. He was very knowledgeable about the many places we saw or stopped at. (Coliseum, Grahman's Theater, Hollywood sign, place where LA was founded and the first home established there, Venice Beach - just to name a few. Keep in mind we did not stop and get out at all of these, but enough.) The guide was a native of LA and given the traffic if we couldn't go one way he knew how to detour to get us where we needed to be. We stopped for lunch and surprisingly were told to take our time. So nice not to have to check your watch while you're eating. I'm glad we took this tour as I don't expect I'm ever going to return to LA.
