As a Navy veteran I have visited many military museums but never one as authentic as the USS Midway Museum.
One starts with a short movie about the Battle of Midway and how, in six minutes, it prevented Japan from obtaining the ability to attack the West Coast of the U.S.
One sees the faces of the young flyers manning their planes , many never to return. Yet, they went and did their jobs.
See their aircraft. Sit in the cockpits.
See where they slept, ate, and lived for months on end.
Don’t miss this museum!
It is set up for tourists with ramps, elevators, clean public restrooms, drinking fountains, and a snack bar offering both inside and outside seating.
